Continuing Education At Ardmore Higher Education Center, we believe that learning is a lifelong endeavor. That’s why our Continuing Education programs provide learning opportunities to people of all ages, from youth to senior adults. The Continuing Education program includes the Kids to Kollege program, Senior University, credentialing opportunities in real estate as well as professional improvement opportunities in conversational Spanish, ESL and ACT test preparation.
Kids to Kollege - June 7-11, 2010 (enrollment has ended for this summer) Kids to Kollege is an experiential learning program for students ages 11-14 held during the summer. AHEC in partnership with Ardmore City Schools and the Southern Oklahoma Technology Center offers a fun-filled week of challenging learning opportunities for young students. Kids to Kollege courses are intended to stimulate math and science awareness, creativity and critical thinking. Students can choose to attend half-days or full-days. Classes are taught by instructors from AHEC college & university partners, Ardmore City Schools, and Southern Oklahoma Technology Center staff. Click here for the 2010 Kids to Kollege flyer. Senior University AHEC’s Senior University offers self-improvement courses and activities for adults ages 55 and over. Senior University programs are fun and interesting learning opportunities that enrich the lives of older or retired adults. With a wide range of course offerings, Senior University provides a year-round schedule of classes and activities including health, nutrition, yoga, art appreciation, book reviews, bridge tournaments and physical fitness. 2010 Summer Programs supported by Senior University:
